Which Pool Shape is Right For You?
One of the perks of building a custom pool and spa is getting to decide what will work for you. Determining your pool shape is often dependent on what you’ll be using your pool for. When your backyard elevation allows it, a vanishing-edge pool is the right way to go, especially if you’re property offers a beautiful backdrop behind the pool. Vanishing-edge pools create a breathtaking effect by appearing as if the pool falls over ledge.
The traditional pool is a classic design, and usually represented as a rectangular or kidney shape. Traditional pool shapes can be customized with the likes of water features, special landscaping or a custom spa.
Contemporary pool shapes offer a minimalist appeal, the “less is more” look. They have very clean lines and crisp right angles. They are a great way to give your backyard a modern look.
Natural and freeform pools don’t stick to any typical pool design pattern, and often times they are designed with the intent to appear as if they were created by nature. These type of pools may also feature custom rock work to really capture the natural appearance.
